Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to join our design team. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models, create coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings, and work with other discipline leads to deliver constructible deliverables.

You’ll apply Jacobs standards, support clash-free modeling, and contribute to power, cable routing, and lighting design within data center environments. Hybrid work with strong team collaboration is offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and the construction industry.
• Understanding of codes and standards in design decisions.
• Understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and setup/management of Revit BIM models.
• Coordinate with other discipline BIM leads and team members.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Ensure clash-free 3D models and adherence to Jacobs standards.
