Job summary

G&W Electric is hiring an Assembler I in Bolingbrook, IL. You will perform sub-assembly and basic assembly tasks, using templates and blueprints to build components.

The role includes quality checks, documentation, and occasional prototype work in a safety-first environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 0–1 year of manufacturing experience, with basic reading of drawings and Bills of Materials, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Able to read and interpret drawings/bills of materials.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and inspect connections for proper fit.
• Assist in prototype building and other basic projects.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and conserve resources.
• Train others in basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Document production and quality actions.
