Job summary

G&W Electric in Bolingbrook, IL seeks an Electronic Technician II to assemble junction boxes, electronic controls, and related assemblies according to drawings; install and test completed assemblies; and act as a final inspector during electronics checkout. You will troubleshoot for production and aftermarket support, participate in FATs, review wiring diagrams, and help train new staff.

A high school diploma is required; an associate degree in electronics is preferred; 2–4 years experience is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years electronics technician experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and BOMs.
• Knowledge of wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, ladder logic, schematics, and Gerber files.
• Bench-test and troubleshoot circuits using schematics and diagrams.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls and other assemblies per drawings.
• Install and test completed electronic assemblies.
• Inspect for final electronics checkout.
• Troubleshoot electronics for production and aftermarket support.
• Participate in FATs for systems and stand-alone controls.
• Contribute to design upgrades or consolidations.
• Review wiring diagrams/interconnect drawings.
