Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL, seeks an Electronic Technician II to assemble, test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies of moderate complexity. You will interpret drawings, install assemblies, and participate in acceptance testing while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, ladder logic and Gerber files, plus basic computer skills. Ideally 2–4 years in electronics tech and high school or GED, with opportunities to train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and BOMs.
• Proficient with wiring diagrams, schematics and ladder logic.
• Able to bench troubleshoot wiring using provided diagrams.
• Must have basic computer skills and English literacy.
• Preferred associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics.
• 2–4 years in an electronics technician role is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls and other assemblies per drawings.
• Install and test completed electronic assemblies.
• Inspect and pass final electronics checkout.
• Troubleshoot assemblies for production and aftermarket support.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing for controls.
• Document actions on production and quality forms.
• Train others in moderately complex assembly tasks as needed.
