National Grid in Buffalo seeks a Consumer Representative A (Commercial Connections) to support electric service requests and inquiries under the tariff framework. The role offers a starting wage of $39.62 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will handle customer communications, serve as the primary contact for assigned requests, coordinate service agreements, and ensure timely processing within service level agreements.

Formación

• Degree or 2+ years in customer support (electrical distribution roles preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of polyphase electrical theory may be required (testing possible).
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally to groups.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• May require personal transportation with insurance coverage evidence.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary contact for customer or trade ally requests.
• Respond promptly to customers and units to resolve issues and meet SLAs.
• Monitor work queues and review documentation for completeness.
• Determine tariff rules and prepare CIAC estimates and reconciliations.
• Coordinate service agreements, tariff forms, and related quotations.
• Communicate expectations and submittal requirements, easements, and timelines.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Conocimientos

2+ years customer support experience

Effective written and verbal comms

Strong organizational skills

Accountability and problem solving

Driver's license / means to travel

Polyphase electrical theory knowledge

Educación

Degree in business, management, engineering, project management, technology or related discipline

High School Diploma or equivalent
