Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Consumer Representative A (Commercial Connections) to manage customer applications for new and upgraded electric service from a remote location. The role involves handling inquiries, coordinating tariff forms, and ensuring end-to-end service delivery with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Diploma or related discipline; or at least 2 years of experience in customer support roles preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of polyphase electrical theory; testing may be used to verify this knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to communicate with groups.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer requests.
• Respond timely to customers, trade allies and business units to resolve issues and fulfill orders.
• Monitor and maintain work queues; review customer documentation for completeness.
• Determine tariff rules for rates and CIAC estimates; prepare reconciliations.
• Coordinate and deliver service agreements, tariff forms and related quotations/invoices.
• Communicate project expectations, submittal requirements, easement requirements and timelines.
• Comply with Company policies and procedures.
