Job Summary

As a Shift Leader, you will oversee Team Members in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. Responsibilities include coaching, directing, recognizing outstanding behavior, and setting priorities during your shift. You will train Team Members on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety, security, quality, and cleanliness standards. You may be responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, creating a superior guest experience, and contributing to achieving cost and profit goals.

Requirements

• Experience: Must be an EPL Crew Member certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have at least 1 year of restaurant supervisory experience

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. Must pass the EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) class upon hire.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills preferred; second language is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with customers is required.

Competencies: Basic math, computer skills, and customer service skills.

Food Handler Card: Must have a ServSafe Certificate at hire or obtain one where applicable.

Physical Demands: Standing, talking, hearing, vision, tasting, smelling, and using hands are regular. May occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift objects up to 40 lbs.
