Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer in the Charlotte, NC area to join a fast-paced team focused on design projects for electric transmission lines, both overhead and underground. The role requires applying NESC, ASCE, ACI standards and interfacing with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE for transmission line design.
• 2+ years of relevant EHV transmission design experience; 1+ with a Master’s.
• Strong teamwork and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electric transmission line projects for overhead and underground systems, applying standards (NESC, ASCE, ACI).
• Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, material procurement and construction documents.
• Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting and construction management teams.
