Job summary
Impellam Group in Charlotte, NC seeks a Transmission Line Engineer for a 12-month hybrid role. You will apply design theories, perform calculations, and guide routing and construction to meet project requirements.
Requirements include a BS in engineering (ABET), PE licensure, 8+ years in utility transmission design, and experience with PLS software. Travel/field work is 3 days per week with mileage reimbursement. Equal opportunity employer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET-accredited program; PE licensure required.
- Master's degree may substitute for BS per policy.
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in utility sector and transmission line design (2+ years specifically).
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering/technical expertise in transmission line design and perform design calculations.
- Support routing/siting, create conceptual designs, cost estimates, and detailed design.
- Provide construction support and on-site oversight.
- Identify complex problems and develop solutions with limited oversight.
- Plan, organize, estimate, execute and monitor work to meet project goals.
