Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an EHS Specialist for a manufacturer in Omaha, NE. This hands-on role drives site-wide environmental, health, and safety programs across shifts and departments, reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will lead safety program management, incident investigations, regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA), training, audits, and safety metrics while fostering a proactive safety culture and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of hands-on EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Solid working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards (29 CFR 1910) and EPA regulations (RCRA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act).
• Experience performing JSAs/JHAs, incident root-cause analysis, and SDS management.

Responsibilities

• Safety Program Management: maintain core safety programs (LOTO, Machine Guarding, PIT, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Respiratory).
• Shop-floor hazard identification: conduct daily walks, inspections, and JSAs with corrective actions.
• Incident investigations & root cause analysis: lead investigations and close CAPA plans.
• Environmental compliance: track/report waste, SWPPP, air permits, hazardous inventory, Tier II/TRI.
• Training & onboarding: deliver mandatory EHS training for new hires and contractors.
• Safety committee leadership: advise and drive safety concerns with the committee.
• Audits & metrics: maintain OSHA logs, TRIR, DART; participate in EHS audits.
