Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for a manufacturing facility located a little over an hour outside Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on leading site Health and Safety programs and fostering a safety-first culture.

Key duties include regulatory compliance with OSHA/EPA, hazard assessment, safety training, and incident investigation. A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field and 5 years of leadership in industrial safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
• 5 years in Industrial Safety Leadership with experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• OSHA and Cal-OSHA experience; ASP or CSP certification is a plus.
• EPA/HAZMAT environmental compliance experience and proficiency in EHS management software.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Develop and implement site-specific Health and Safety programs with cross-functional teams.
• Safety Culture Champion: Lead safety committees and promote employee engagement.
• Regulatory Compliance Expert: Advise on OSHA, EPA and related regulations.
• Hazard Assessment Pro: Evaluate hazards and ensure protective measures are in place.
• Training Guru: Conduct OSHA compliance training and hazard-specific training.
• Injury Management Leader: Support workers’ compensation claims and investigate incidents.
