Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an EHS Specialist for a manufacturing site in Omaha, NE. This hands‑on role drives plant‑wide environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and a proactive safety culture across all shifts.

You will lead safety initiatives, conduct audits, and deliver training to maintain OSHA/EPA standards while supporting production continuity. Standard working hours are M-F, with cross‑functional collaboration to keep employees safe and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years hands‑on EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards (29 CFR 1910) and primary EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core general industry safety programs (LOTO, guarding, PIT, confined space, fall protection, respirators).
• Conduct daily floor walkthroughs, safety inspections, and JSAs to identify risks and implement CAPAs.
• Lead incident investigations and root‑cause analysis for injuries, near misses, and property damage.
• Oversee environmental tracking and reporting (RCRA, SWPPP, air permits, chemical inventory, Tier II/TRI).
• Develop and deliver EHS training for new hires and contractors.
• Support safety committee and drive accountability for safety concerns.
• Maintain safety metrics and participate in audits (OSHA 300 logs, TRIR, DART; ISO 14001/45001).
