Job summary

Judge Direct Placement seeks an EHS Manager for a Fortune 100 client in Modesto, CA. You will serve as the site leader for all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability initiatives and partner with plant leadership to build a culture focused on employee well-being and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• CSP or other professional certification preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local regulations.
• Experience developing EHS strategies that improve compliance and business results.
• Ability to lead change and drive accountability.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site leader for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability initiatives.
• Partner with plant leadership to strengthen a culture prioritizing wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
• Provide strategic direction to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company EHS standards.
• Oversee environmental programs including air permitting, wastewater management, and emissions reporting.
• Lead audits, inspections, and proactive improvement initiatives to mitigate workplace risks.
• Develop and deliver engaging safety and environmental training programs.
• Facilitate incident investigations and drive sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs and use data to identify trends and reduce risk.
• Lead site safety committees and engage employees in EHS programs.
• Manage workers' compensation processes and return-to-work programs.
• Maintain and submit environmental reports, permits, records, and compliance documentation.
• Foster relationships with regulatory agencies and serve as primary contact during inspections.
