Job summary

DPR Construction seeks an experienced EHS leader to support Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations across assigned projects. The role partners with SPW leadership to implement programs, train staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while mitigating risk on construction sites.

Responsibilities include directing field EHS staff, integrating safety planning into daily activities, and analyzing performance data for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6–8 years of construction EHS experience, including supporting self-perform crews.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training and First Aid/CPR certification required.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred; STSC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads EHS programs and initiatives supporting SPW operations in alignment with regional and enterprise standards.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Partners with SPW superintendents, foremen, and operations leaders to integrate EHS planning into daily and look-ahead work activities.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and JHAs to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; communicates lessons learned.
• Monitors and analyzes EHS performance metrics to identify trends and mitigate risk.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification for field leadership.
