Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a seasoned EHS leader to provide Environmental, Health & Safety support for Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations on assigned projects. You will partner with SPW operations leadership to implement EHS programs, training, and compliance activities that reduce risk and protect the workforce.

You will oversee field EHS professionals, integrate planning into daily work, review JHAs and audits, conduct incident investigations, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate SPW

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or related field; equivalent experience may apply.
• 6-8 years of experience in construction EHS required, including experience supporting self-perform crews.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.
• STSC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages implementation of EHS programs and initiatives supporting SPW operations in alignment with regional and enterprise standards.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Partners with SPW superintendents, foremen, and operations leaders to integrate EHS planning into daily and look-ahead work activities.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; supports communication of lessons learned.
• Monitors and analyzes EHS performance metrics to identify trends and recommend risk mitigation actions.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification for craft and field leadership.
