EHS Leader for SPW Operations

Job summary

DPR Construction seeks an experienced EHS leader to support Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations on assigned projects. You will partner with SPW leadership to implement programs, training, and compliance activities that reduce risk and protect the workforce.

You will manage field EHS professionals, guide daily planning with operations, review risk assessments and investigations, and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in construction EHS.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• CHST or CSP certification preferred.
• STSC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages implementation of EHS programs and initiatives supporting SPW operations in alignment with regional and enterprise standards.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Partners with SPW superintendents, foremen, and operations leaders to integrate EHS planning into daily and look-ahead work activities.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; supports communication of lessons learned.
• Monitors and analyzes EHS performance metrics to identify trends and recommend risk mitigation actions.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification for craft and field leadership.
