Job summary

DPR Construction seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) leader to support Self-Perform Work (SPW) operations across projects and business segments. This role partners with SPW operations leadership to implement comprehensive EHS programs, training, and compliance activities aimed at reducing risk and protecting workers.

The position oversees field EHS professionals, directs coaching and performance management, and analyzes performance data to drive continuous improvement across SPW

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• CHST or CSP preferred.
• STSC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages implementation of EHS programs and initiatives supporting SPW operations in alignment with regional and enterprise standards.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Partners with SPW superintendents, foremen, and operations leaders to integrate EHS planning into daily and look-ahead work activities.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; supports communication of lessons learned.
• Monitors and analyzes EHS performance metrics to identify trends and recommend risk mitigation actions.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification for craft and field leadership.

Education

Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or a related field

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety training
