Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Thousand Oaks, CA seeks an EHSS Manager I to lead site-level implementation of environmental, health, safety and sustainability programs. You will coordinate industrial hygiene, safety and risk initiatives under the EHSS Sr.

Manager and support multiple client groups including R&D and services. The role requires interpreting regulations, driving improvements via data analytics, maintaining records, and collaborating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field with EH&S focus is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of EH&S experience also acceptable with relevant credentials.
• Associate’s degree with 6+ years EH&S experience considered.
• High school diploma with 8+ years EH&S experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting complex environmental health and safety regulations and developing/maintaining processes that ensure compliance with Federal, State and local requirements.
• Interfacing with regulatory agency representatives during on-site inspections and to address program needs.
• Maintaining appropriate records and documentation.
• Identifying program improvement opportunities by utilizing data analytics and developing action plans to drive continuous improvements.
• Partnering with internal client and site/corporate EHS organizations.
• Acting as EHSS representative for internal client organizations by executing an EHSS culture program, conducting inspections and investigating incidents.
• Participating in emergency response activities.
