Job summary

Amgen seeks an Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Manager based in Thousand Oaks, California. You will partner with Manufacturing, QA, Facilities, and Warehouse Operations to drive a world-class safety culture, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance across the site.

Primary responsibilities include leading EHS programs such as hazardous gas safety, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and fall protection; conducting risk assessments and incident investigations; and

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s in EHSS or related field with relevant cGMP experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA/regulatory standards and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs in manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs, risk assessments, and CAPAs across site operations.
• Partner with QA, Manufacturing, Facilities to advance safety culture.
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
