Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) partners with local practices to deliver best-in-class dental care. We are seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who will support doctors with charting, fillings, operatory setup, and patient education while adhering to state regulations.

The ideal candidate has EFDA certification or equivalent on-the-job training, radiography licensure, CPR certification, and comfort with dental charting software; 1-5 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements.
  • Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
  • CPR Certification is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assists doctors including charting, placement of fillings, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
  • Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and topical fluoride treatments.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and ensures forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Enters and updates patient treatment plans as directed by the treating dentist.
