Job summary

North American Dental Group is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join a patient‑centered practice in Pennsylvania. You will support doctors, manage charting, fillings, and patient education while complying with state regulations.

The role requires EFDA certification or on‑the‑job training, radiography licensure, CPR, and strong MS Office and dental software skills. Expect a full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists doctors with charting, placement of fillings, operatory set up/clean up and patient education.
  • Perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
  • Assist in procedures such as placing amalgam/composite fillings, temporary crowns, removing sutures, applying topical fluoride.
  • Record and review patient health history, make chart entries and ensure forms are signed in dental software.
  • Enter and update patient treatment plans as directed by the treating dentist.

Pay Range $34+ dependent upon experience

Smiling from Open to Close

Monday 7:45am-6:00pm (1 hour lunch)

Tuesday-Thursday 7:45am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch)

Friday 7:45am-1:00pm

Responsibilities

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

  • Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
  • Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
Qualifications

  • EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements
  • Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
  • CPR Certification is required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary
