Qualifications

  • EFDA certification required or state-appropriate on-the-job training.
  • Radiography licensure for the respective state requirements.
  • 1–5 years of dental assisting experience preferred; new graduates considered.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of dental charting software and digital X-rays; ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist doctors with charting, placement of fillings, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Perform expanded duties per state regulations and compliance.
  • Assist in procedures such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and fluoride treatments.
  • Maintain patient health histories, make chart entries, and ensure forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Enter and update patient treatment plans as directed.

Responsibilities

Skills Required to Make a Great “Impression” on Our Team

  • Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
  • Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
  • Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.
  • Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating
Qualifications

  • EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements
  • Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
  • CPR Certification is required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
