Job summary

Hillside Public Schools is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to provide technical support for administrative and academic technology across the district. You will develop and deliver staff training, support Windows devices and Chromebooks, and collaborate with district personnel to align professional development with instructional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required or preferred.
• Experience in training, computer support, help desk services, educational technology, cybersecurity, or related field preferred (K-12).
• 4–5 years of experience supporting Windows computers, Chromebooks, tablets, classroom displays, and common productivity apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technology training for teachers, administrators, supervisors, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
• Train staff on Windows laptops, Chromebooks, iPads, Samsung tablets, Promethean displays, SMART Boards, and classroom equipment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and administrators to identify training needs and align with district goals.
• Serve as a liaison among the Technology Department, instructional supervisors, and teachers.
• Create presentations, quick-reference guides, video tutorials, FAQs, onboarding materials, and step-by-step instructions.
• Provide new employee technology orientation, coaching, office hours, classroom support, and refresher training.
