Job summary

Summit Hill School District 161 seeks a Building Level Computer Technician to support technology across district schools. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, upgrading and repairing district tablet devices, installing software, and tracking hardware inventory and repair history.

The candidate will formulate timelines, collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director of Technology, and assist classroom teachers by integrating technology and software applications.

Qualifications

Technical training in use of the internet and installation of hardware and software.
Knowledge of Microsoft, Apple, and Google platforms; CompTIA A+/N+ certification preferred.
Demonstrated aptitude for responsibilities and effective communication.
Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to facilitate effective use of technology in schools.
Implement, maintain, upgrade and repair district tablet devices.
Install software applications per district standards and licensing.
Maintain records of hardware inventory, updates and repair history.
Monitor functioning of technology hardware in the schools.
Collaborate with Director and Assistant Director of Technology; assist teachers.
