Job summary

Mount Pleasant Community School District is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to install, maintain, and repair networked PCs, AV equipment, telephony, and classroom electronics. You will work with teachers and staff to resolve tech issues and provide training on instructional technology.

The role requires independent judgment, with supervision from the Technology Director, and involves maintaining labs, equipment, and security across district systems.

Qualifications

• Education and Licensure (encouraged but not required).
• A degree in computer science or related field.
• Possess CompTIA or related data security certification.

Responsibilities

• Operation, loading of all operational software, resolving technical problems, maintenance, accessibility, security, and back-up of all LAN equipment.
• Assess and/or repair computers, projectors, printers, and other classroom technology.
• Oversight of computer labs and a large number of peripheral equipment.
• Work in person with teachers and staff to solve challenges with technology in the classroom.
• Provides in-person training on computer-assisted instruction and telecommunications.
• Organizes workshop training sessions with computer consultants to familiarize and update instructional assistance with operational and maintenance routines, new computer curriculum, and instructional techniques.
• Performs related duties as required.
