Job summary

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School in Palo Alto seeks a full-time Technology Support Specialist to join the Information Systems team. This role provides frontline support for accounts, applications, and technology used across the Hausner community, focusing on teachers, staff, students, and parents.

You will provision user accounts, troubleshoot issues, manage classroom tech, and assist with A/V setups for assemblies and events.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication, patience, professionalism, and follow-through.
• Ability to support students and adults with a wide range of technical abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests in a busy school environment.
• Experience with Google Workspace or A/V systems is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support for applications and online services used by teachers, staff, students, and parents (Google Workspace, educational tech, SaaS).
• Provision, modify, and deactivate user accounts; manage access permissions and settings; assist with login and access.
• Troubleshoot application, authentication, access, and configuration issues and escalate when needed.
• Provide patient support and maintain documentation of processes.
• Troubleshoot and support printers, copiers, projectors, displays, speakers, and classroom A/V gear.
• Assist teachers and staff with classroom tech setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
• Set up and troubleshoot A/V for assemblies, events, and meetings.
• Assist with other IS department projects as needed.
