Job summary

Yinghua Academy in Minneapolis, MN seeks an IT Support Specialist to maintain and support school technology for students, staff, and families. You will deploy, configure, and repair devices, manage Google Workspace, and provide responsive help desk support.

The role covers asset management, classroom A/V, event tech support, and automation using PowerShell, Python, and Google Apps Script. Flexibility for after-school events and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience providing tech support in school or multi-user environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting audio/visual systems including microphones and amplification.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Google Admin Console preferred.
• Experience with JAMF or similar MDM; ability to learn SMART Board MDM.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP and Wi‑Fi; basic NAS administration.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Google Apps Script, or similar scripting tools.
• Strong organizational skills for asset management.
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate solutions effectively.
• Interest or experience in AI tools in education.
• Ability to work independently and with staff; support after-school events.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, patient help desk support to students, staff, and families via multiple channels.
• Manage Google Workspace administration and device deployments across the school.
• Maintain hardware assets, inventory records, and warranty/repair processes.
• Support audio/visual equipment for classrooms and events, including concerts and graduations.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, and Google Apps Script to improve efficiency.
• Assist with network connectivity, NAS administration, and information security practices.
• Participate in school supervision and after-school activities as needed.
• Collaborate with vendors and school leadership to resolve technical issues promptly.
