Job summary

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School seeks a full-time, year-round Technology Support Specialist to join the Information Systems Department in Palo Alto. You will provide frontline technical support for applications, accounts, and technology across the Hausner community, focusing on teachers, staff, students, and parents.

Your role includes account provisioning, access settings, and troubleshooting across SaaS platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication, patience, professionalism, and follow-through.
• Ability to support students and adults with varying levels of technical ability.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests in a busy school environment.
• Experience with Google Workspace and educational technology platforms is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support for applications and online services used by teachers, staff, students, and parents, including Google Workspace and educational tech platforms.
• Provision, modify, and deactivate user accounts; manage access permissions and settings; assist with login and access.
• Troubleshoot application, authentication, access, and configuration issues with escalation as needed.
• Provide responsive, patient support and maintain documentation of processes.
• Troubleshoot and support printers, copiers, projectors, displays, and classroom AV equipment.
• Assist teachers and staff with classroom technology setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
• Set up and operate AV for assemblies, open houses, meetings, and events.
• Assist with other Information Systems projects as needed.
