Job summary

Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to join the Information Systems Department in a full-time, year-round role on site. The position provides frontline support for teachers, staff, students, and parents across Google Workspace and educational technology platforms.

The role includes account provisioning, access management, and troubleshooting, plus A/V support for assemblies and events. Strong customer service and quick learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in a school or education environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and A/V equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support for applications and online services used by teachers, staff, students, and parents, including Google Workspace.
• Provision, modify, and deactivate user accounts; manage access permissions.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed to the Information Systems Manager or vendor.
• Provide patient support and maintain documentation.
• Set up and troubleshoot A/V technology for events and meetings.
• Assist with classroom technology setup and connectivity.
• Support printers, copiers, projectors, displays, speakers, and microphones.
• Assist with other IS Department projects as assigned.
