Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to empower students and schools. You will evaluate needs, communicate findings, and collaborate with the IEP team to design evidence-based interventions that promote participation and independence.

You may deliver direct therapy or supervise COTAs, maintain progress records, and participate in IEP meetings and family conferences to advocate for students' growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Occupational Therapy (TABOT).
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs through Occupational Therapy assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
• Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop interventions with the IEP team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
• Deliver direct therapy services or oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions using data.
• Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and support their growth.
