Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to empower students and schools. You will assess student needs, participate in IEP planning, and deliver or supervise therapy to improve functional skills and independence in educational settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with parents and school staff, data-driven progress monitoring, and advocacy for students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas Advisory Board of Occupational Therapy (TABOT).
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs: Perform Occupational Therapy assessments to determine students' needs and eligibility for specialized services.
• Communicate evaluation findings to parents, educators, and other stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Develop interventions: Collaborate with the IEP team to create evidence-based interventions that promote student participation, access to education, and skill development.
• Provide therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor progress: Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and use data to adjust interventions as needed.
• Support team: Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and support their growth.
