Job summary

Salesforce.com, inc. is seeking an Account Solution Engineer for the Global Public Sector in education. You will lead the technical cycle from discovery to close, map institutional needs to Salesforce solutions, and deliver tailored demonstrations that align with strategic goals.

You will collaborate with sales, product, and services teams to articulate value, respond to RFPs, and stay ahead of industry trends to transform higher education operations.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MIS.
• 7+ years of experience with Salesforce or other CRM solutions, focused on education.
• 5+ years in solution engineering, consulting, enterprise software delivery, or customer success.
• Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Certifications, Salesforce-preferred.
• Deep understanding of education operations (student lifecycle, registrar, advising, etc.).
• Strong technical acumen with configuring and demonstrating Salesforce in sales/implementation.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead discovery sessions and craft tailored solutions.
• Experience with RFP and proposal processes.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Curiosity and passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally with teams and partners.
• Open to travel ~40% for client meetings and events.
• Salesforce certifications including Administrator, Education Cloud Consultant, Data 360 Cert, Experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle from discovery to close.
• Engage with educational institutions to understand challenges and goals.
• Position Salesforce as a strategic partner with tailored demonstrations.
• Translate education processes into technology solutions.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs/RFIs with alignment to priorities.
• Collaborate across account teams, services, and partners.
• Stay ahead of education tech trends and industry developments.
• Aim to meet engagement, solution development, and revenue targets.
• Invest in training, certifications, and mentorship for growth.
• Support consumption and value realization through workshops and health checks.
• Define and document use cases and consumption plans for AI and Data products.
• Develop Agentforce and Data360 use cases with POCs and workshops.
