Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Account Solution Engineer for its Global Public Sector Solution Engineering team in education. You will collaborate with sales, product experts, and partners to tailor solutions addressing institutional challenges across the student lifecycle and administrative processes.

You will lead technical conversations, articulate business value, and build trust with higher education institutions aiming to transform operations through Agentforce and Data products.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MIS.
• 7+ years of combined experience with Salesforce or other CRM solutions, with a focus on education.
• 5+ years of experience in solution engineering, consulting, enterprise software delivery, or customer success.
• Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Certifications, Salesforce-preferred.
• Deep understanding of education operations (student lifecycle, registrar, advising, curriculum, financial aid).
• Strong technical acumen with configuring and demonstrating Salesforce or similar platforms.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead discovery sessions and craft tailored solutions.
• Experience with RFP and proposal processes.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Curiosity and passion for technology.
• Collaborative mindset and cross-functional collaboration.
• Open to travel ~40%.
• Salesforce certifications: Administrator, Education Cloud Consultant, Data 360 Cert, Experience Cloud.
• Experience with Agentforce for Education, Salesforce Industries (Vlocity), OmniScript, or Industry Common Components.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solution Cycle from discovery to close with account teams and partners.
• Understand institutional needs and map them to Salesforce solutions.
• Position Salesforce as a strategic partner with tailored demonstrations.
• Translate education business processes into technology solutions.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs/RFIs and ensure value demonstration.
• Collaborate across teams to align solutions with institutional needs.
• Stay ahead of education and tech trends and translate into recommendations.
• Help achieve quarterly and annual engagement, solution development, and revenue goals.
• Invest in training, certifications, and mentorship for ongoing expertise.
• Support consumption and value realization through QBRs, health checks, and workshops.
• Define and document use cases, estimate consumption, and plan AI/Data adoption.
• Develop and present Agentforce and Data360 use cases with POCs and workshops.
