Job summary

Salesforce, a global leader in CRM, seeks an Account Solution Engineer for its Global Public Sector team. You will partner with sales, product experts, and partners to tailor solutions for higher education, from discovery to deployment, focusing on student lifecycle optimization and institutional transformation.

You will bridge technology and strategy, leading technical conversations, presenting business value, and building trust with university stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or MIS.
• 7+ years with Salesforce or other CRM solutions, education focus.
• 5+ years in solution engineering, consulting, enterprise software delivery, or customer success.
• AI and/or Data Certifications, Salesforce-preferred.
• Deep understanding of education operations (student lifecycle, registrar, advising, curriculum, financial aid, enrollment).
• Strong technical acumen with Salesforce or similar enterprise platforms.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience leading discovery sessions and mapping challenges to solutions.
• Familiarity with RFP/proposal processes.
• Open to travel ~40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the solution cycle from discovery to close with cross-functional teams.
• Understand institutional needs and map them to Salesforce solutions.
• Prepare, build, and present tailored demonstrations linked to strategic goals.
• Translate education business processes into impactful tech solutions.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs ensuring alignment with priorities.
• Collaborate across teams (sales, professional services, product, partners).
• Stay ahead of education and CRM industry trends to inform recommendations.
• Achieve quarterly and annual engagement and revenue goals (NNAOV).
• Invest in training, certifications, and mentorship for growth.
• Drive consumption and value realization through QBRs, health checks, and workshops.
• Define use cases and consumption plans for AI/Data products.
• Develop Agentforce and Data use case demonstrations for education.
