Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a proactive Education Sales professional to drive growth across assigned territories. You will engage with prospective customers, present digital and print solutions, and work toward annual sales targets while building strategic plans and forecasting activity using standard tools.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a track record of sales success, with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Willingness to travel and lift materials is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; teaching and education sales experience preferred in publishing.
• Proven record of consistent sales growth and goal achievement.
• Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
• Ability to build and execute complex sales solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
• Strong territory management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with CRM and Microsoft Office; able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Engage in sales call activities to prospective customers to explore and present product solutions for our digital and print products.
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
• Create and implement strategic territory and business plans.
• Drive new business to foster growth within the territory.
• Provide accurate forecast and sales activity reporting using company sales tools and historical data.
• Participate in network building opportunities within territory, including conferences, group presentations, and industry functions.
• Other duties as needed.
