Job summary

CGS is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to support the legal team within a large Federal agency. You will log productions, assess cover letters for loading into Relativity, and coordinate virus scans and secure transfers to the agency network.

The role requires three years of eDiscovery experience, a Bachelor’s degree, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this mid-level position.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience in compiling, analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task requirements.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest the cover letter and provide a brief description of the production.
• Coordinate password retrieval from producing party when needed.
• Determine if cover letter contains substantive information for Relativity loading.
• Virus scan the production off-network using multiple virus protection tools.
• Follow protocol to address issues or reject the production.
• Copy clean production to the Agency's network.
• Handle documents per protocol (e.g., MOUs, RFPA, BSA, whistlesblower etc.).
• Analyze productions to determine required processing and protocol.
• Ensure data completeness and load readiness, and notify Litigation Support Specialist if not.
• Monitor incoming productions via email and FTP site; prepare OCR for Relativity.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions.
