Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our world-class Edge Technology organization.

You will work on high-reliability systems that manage customers' security certificates and configurations, building scalable backend and frontend features within a distributed cloud platform. You will design and implement features using Java, Spring, and Angular, collaborate with QA/testing teams, and contribute to the evolution of our edge platform to deliver secure, high-performance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
Strong knowledge of Java and Python; familiarity with C++, Bash in Linux/Unix environments.
Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot for scalable backend apps.
Experience with Angular frontend development.
Foundational understanding of Terraform and databases (SQL/NoSQL).

Responsibilities

Designing and developing systems capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent operations.
Developing software to make efficient use of relational and NoSQL databases.
Creating new features from scratch, enhancing existing features and optimizing existing functionality.
Following good development methodology with collaboration with testing and SQA to deploy new components.
