Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer I to build high-reliability systems managing security certificates and configurations. You will contribute to large-scale backend services using Java, Spring, and Angular in a fast-paced edge platform environment.

You will collaborate with teams to deploy components, optimize performance, and ensure secure delivery. A BS in CS or related field is required with experience in Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Java and familiarity with Python, C++, or Bash in Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot for backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development solutions.
• Foundational understanding of Terraform.
• Understanding of SQL, relational databases and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing systems capable of handling tens of thousands of concurrent operations.
• Developing software to make efficient use of Relational Database Management Systems and NoSQL databases.
• Creating new features from scratch, enhancing existing features and optimizing existing functionality.
• Following good development methodology, including collaboration with testing and SQA departments to deploy new system components.
