Mayo Clinic is seeking a Part Time Unit Technician to support nursing staff on the cardiac and ED units in Minnesota. The role involves patient care support under the supervision of a registered nurse, performing ECGs and splinting as needed in inpatient and emergency settings.

Qualifications include 18 years or older with 12 college credits or HS diploma with Nursing Assistant training, plus basic computer skills, strong communication and teamwork, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 18 years old and completion of 12 college credits OR high school diploma/GED with Nursing Assistant training.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, writing and listening skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; BLS certification included in orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care to support nursing practice under RN/ licensed staff.
• Carry out activities within legal scope for unlicensed nursing personnel.
• Provide 24/7 surveillance, ECGs and monitoring in cardiac/inpatient units.
• Collaborate with nurses/providers when parameters are abnormal or critical.
