Job summary
UAB Medicine is expanding our Emergency Department at UAB Hospital in Alabama and hiring registered nurses to join a large, fast-paced team. You’ll provide direct patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and support an advanced ED environment with new equipment and streamlined processes.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of nursing experience preferred.
- 2+ years of experience preferred in psychiatric nursing or related areas.
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Alabama.
- Certified in BLS from the American Heart Association or obtained within 30 days of employment.
- ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required depending on unit.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide care and counseling for health promotion and disease prevention.
- Assess patient needs and coordinate care with family and the health care team.
- Deliver care in collaboration with physicians, psychologists, podiatrists, podiatry and/or dental professionals.
