Job summary

UAB Medicine's Emergency Department at UAB Hospital is expanding to become one of the nation’s largest, with 115+ treatment and triage spaces and a 30-bed observation unit. You will join Alabama’s first ACS-verified Level I adult trauma center, in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED setting.

As a registered nurse, you will apply the nursing process, assess patients, and collaborate with the care team to promote health, prevent illness, and support recovery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing or ED settings is advantageous.
• Current RN licensure in Alabama or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and promote health.
• Assess patient needs using AACN Synergy Model and document findings.
• Delegate, coordinate, and manage all nursing care with the care team.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to ensure quality care.
