The position involves 11:00am-7:30pm shifts with every-other weekend/holiday obligations and on-call duties roughly 24 hours every 10-12 weeks. Training includes EHR system use and onboarding to guide patient journeys.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a business setting providing customer service and processing demographic/financial data.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes patient co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and balances due; safeguards cash and receipts.
• Completes the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts patient coverage.
• Obtains signatures on consent and financial forms; scans and records documents.
• Counsels patients on non-covered services and ABNs; obtains signatures.
• Monitors waiting area and ensures a smooth, pleasant registration flow.
• Completes registrations on inpatient units missing information.
• Responds to patient concerns and safety issues while maintaining confidentiality.
• Initiates scheduling by using phone, MyChart, and other sources.
• Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments and verifies information.
• Ensures accurate patient and referral data are captured.
• Follows confidentiality and security guidelines in all work settings.
