Job summary

Qualifications

• High School/GED or 1-3 months related experience; or equivalent combination.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• One previous year of related experience, preferably in a medical/financial services/customer service environment.
• Preferred medical terminology and insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduling, registration, and admitting functions at bedside, validates patient data and insurance information.
• Collects and updates data to ensure timely bill submission and performs ADT reconciliations.
• Identifies self-pay accounts and coordinates follow-up with financial advocacy.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains confidentiality per HIPAA and AHN policies.
• Responds to inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff, including during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
