Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to interview patients (inpatient, outpatient and ER) and collect data for admission records. You will handle deposits and payments, coordinate with nursing and ancillary departments, and guide patients to their destinations within the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 2 years of customer service, and BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years minimum of customer service skills required.
• Must be BLS certified or provide BLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• M.A.B. certification required. New hires must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledging patients or guests and their requests.
• Document any financial arrangements and coordinate with Admitting/Business Office.
• Direct patients to the proper destination within the hospital.
• Uphold HIPAA and related regulations and maintain confidentiality.
• Register patients and ensure complete admission records and documents are accurate.
