Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to interview patients (inpatient, outpatient, and ED) and collect data for admission. You will produce accurate admission records, handle deposits, and explain financial responsibilities while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role requires prior customer service experience, BLS certification (or within 30 days), and an MB A certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years minimum of customer service skills required.
• Must be BLS certified or must provide BLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• M.A.B. certification required. New hires must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interview incoming patients to obtain all pertinent data for admission and produce an accurate admission record.
• Handle financial arrangements, deposits, and payments; explain hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance; direct patients to appropriate departments as needed.
• Assist in training new employees and support departmental productivity goals.
