Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Vallejo is seeking a hospital front desk receptionist to greet patients in the ED, perform check-in/out, capture information, and aid with revenue collection. The role requires accuracy in a fast-paced setting, strong phone etiquette, and cash handling experience.

You will also help patients with questions, maintain filing, and uphold professional conduct with staff and consumers.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in a hospital/clerical setting or medical office.
• Typing speed 40 wpm required.
• Medical Terminology Test required.
• Knowledge of CICS/REGP.
• Reception and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in all patients reporting to the ED in a professional and courteous manner.
• Responsible for accurate check-in; check out, information capture and revenue collection per procedures.
• Receive, make and transfer telephone call promptly, courteously, and efficiently.
• Alphabetize filing and maintain organized records.
• Assist patients with questions and center information and directions.
• Demonstrate and maintain professional conduct with patients, coworkers, and consumers.
