Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

The role involves supporting site investigations, developing data quality objectives, QAPPs, and sampling plans, collaborating with scientists and engineers, and contributing to proposals and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; professional registration/certification preferred
7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation
Travel may be required depending on duties and workload

Responsibilities

Support site investigations and risk assessments for human health and ecological projects
Develop data quality objectives (DQOs), QAPPs, and SAPs
Prepare conceptual site exposure models and risk assessments
Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches
Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and contribute to proposals and white papers
