Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance and risk assessment for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

The candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams, develop DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs, and exposure models, and contribute to proposals, technical papers, and client meetings while mentoring junior

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or related discipline with professional registration/certification.
Minimum 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation.
Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required by projects.

Responsibilities

Support site investigations and risk assessments (HHRAs/ERAs).
Develop data quality objectives (DQOs), QA/QC plans (QAPPs), and SAPs.
Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs for various projects.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
Assist sales in responding to RFPs and contribute to white papers.
