Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental projects.

You will work with teams to develop DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs, and ekposure models, collaborating with scientists and engineers to implement approved approaches and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science or related field with professional scientist registration/certification.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and data interpretation for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Develop data quality objectives (DQOs), QAPPs, and SAPs under guidance.
• Prepare exposure models and risk assessments (CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs).
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentors.
• Support proposals and respond to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Contribute to technical knowledge via white papers and conference presentations.
