Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group in the United States. The role focuses on regulatory compliance efforts across federal, state, and local levels, contributing to site investigations and risk assessments.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop QA/QC documents, and support client meetings while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline with professional scientist registration/certification OR Master's degree in Science or related discipline.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Supports site investigations and interpretation of data for human health and ecological risk assessments.
Contributes to data quality objectives, QAPPs, and SAPs.
Assists with CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs.
Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
Supports proposals with sales staff in response to RFPs.
Develops white papers on emerging environmental issues.
Presents at conferences to improve visibility of firm's products.
